GUESS 3D Virtual World Learning Environment (v1.0)
The GUESS Learning Environment is a customizable, gamified 3D platform designed to engage university students in environmental sustainability through immersive, scenario-based activities. Developed under Erasmus+ KA220, it features:
- Modular Architecture: Four infrastructure milestones—from basic reception areas to a full simulated world grid—built on OpenSimulator and virtualized services.
- Nine Interactive Scenarios: Tutorials, forest walks, pollution labs, recycling challenges, and more—each with quizzes, NPC dialogues, and mini-games that reinforce key concepts.
- Analytics & Adaptivity: Learner actions, quiz results, and navigation times are logged for real-time feedback and post-hoc evaluation of educational efficacy.
- Extensible Design: Scriptable scenario templates, NPC event handlers, and a REST-enabled LearningObjectivesManager allow easy addition of new content and alignment with curricula.
